History of Ascent Marketing Photography

About our 360 Photography

Ascent Marketing Photography is the new and improved production branch of 3DVO. Started in 2006 focusing on 3D Lidar acquisition and 360° photography, we have seen continual growth and have recently formed Ascent to better handle our continued expansion and our clients' photographic needs.

Why our Product Photography?

Why our 360 Photography

We are a visual species. We live through our eyes. Is it any wonder why products benefit from photography? It is critical that professional-grade pictures are posted on your website, catalog, or in your store display. We want to see it, not read about it.

We are the solution for your photographic needs. Having a studio in-house is costly to run, and difficult to manage. An average-sized studio could easily cost a company as much as $250,000/year to maintain; not to mention finding, hiring, and managing the people involved.

We are your photographers. By outsourcing to us, you not only save your company money, but still receive the same in-house feeling. At Ascent, you are assigned an account manager that will be your go-to person for any instructions, questions, or feedback. You will not be shuffled among faceless "customer service reps," talking to whoever happens to be on schedule at that hour. By working with each client individually, we ensure that your product photography has the perfect image and feel you need to promote your brand.

"360-degree shots of merchandise (and often video) are de rigueur" (New York Times, A Look That's Worth a Million Hits, Dec 2 2010).

That In-House Feeling:

With Ascent Marketing Photography, industry leaders such as Gregory Mountain Products, Arc'teryx, and Skull Candy have found that they can obtain premium photography with unrivaled support, at affordable costs.

Product and 360 Photography Pricing

Pricing our 360 Photography

Each project is unique and each budget is different. Speak with an account manager about your proposed project to get a specific quote.

As a guideline three major elements determine the price of a project. They are:

Complexity of a project refers primarily to the item being shot. For example, the 360 of a desk chair would be less expensive than the 360 of a frame pack or duffel bag. This is because the chair wouldn't require stuffing or rigging, and would take less time to shoot. Complexity can also refer to the difficulty of the actual shot. For example, a single "Hero" shot of the product in the studio is much less than a scenic shot on a cliff looking out over a valley.

Volume of the project refers to the quantity of products in the order. With sufficient volume in an order, or with guaranteed quantity in the near future, we are able to offer discounts and agreements that are beneficial to both companies. Talk to your account manager about details.

Timing of the project means that if we have enough notice, and can fit you into the production queue, you will get a lower price on the service. We do accommodate rush orders (un-planned, un-scheduled orders with a short turnaround time).
